Ten thousand years ago, a meteorite struck a hillside in southern France. Today, our vines grow within and around its crater.

High up in the Languedoc mountains, our domaine spans the schist soils of Faugères and Saint-Chinian. Surrounded by garrigue with the scent of wild thyme, fennel and cistus, we make organic wines inspired by our land and its history.

These are wines from another dimension.

Our Story

With such a unique setting and history, we believe in letting the terroir speak for itself – a philosophy that runs through everything we do

Visit Us

The vineyard is quietly nestled in the Haut-Languedoc national park and we are delighted to welcome visitors for tastings, walks and more. With sweeping views down to the Mediterranean and, at our heart, the huge meteorite crater after which we are named, it is a truly one-of-a-kind place to visit.

Our Wine

Our founding ethos is to create wines that give a sense of place – wines that express the terroir and forces of nature that created them, with as little intervention and process as possible.

Our Food

Here at the Domaine, we believe in celebrating the very best of the area’s produce. Just as our wines are an expression of the landscape, the local foods are too. At dinners beneath the stars and picnics in the vineyard, all our food is local, organic and chosen because of its representation of the land.
