Le Cratère is an organic Traditional Method sparkling rosé wine made in very limited quantities (just 940 bottles) from Syrah grapes, which are solely all grown inside the 200-metre-wide meteorite crater from which Domaine du Météore takes its name.
Rosemary George MW: “I liked it a lot, with a pretty pale colour and a delicate nose. The palate is nicely balanced, youthful and elegant”
Secret Sommelier: “It certainly has a very fine strawberry flavour but also a gorgeous cool edge that draws you back for another sip.”
Alex Hale: “Well balanced acidity and fruit sweetness make this a lovely rosé”
Gabriel Power: "With no cloying sweetness, there could scarcely be a better wine with which to celebrate the coming of spring's warmer climes."

The vineyard is quietly nestled in the Haut-Languedoc national park and we are delighted to welcome visitors for tastings, walks and more. With sweeping views down to the Mediterranean and, at our heart, the huge meteorite crater after which we are named, it is a truly one-of-a-kind place to visit.

Here at the Domaine, we believe in celebrating the very best of the area’s produce. Just as our wines are an expression of the landscape, the local foods are too. At dinners beneath the stars and picnics in the vineyard, all our food is local, organic and chosen because of its representation of the land.
